Metering Pumps
These pumps are of the high pressure, low volume, reciprocating plunger, positive displacement type, ideal for use in feeding chemicals to hot water and steam boilers, as well as air conditioning systems. These pumps are designed for trouble free operation where a controlled volume of chemical treatment is required. Units have undergone experience of 25 years of field installation and all are equipped with relief valves for positive protection at all times.
Construction
All standard pumps are equipped with double stainless steel check valves and valve balls. The piston is ground and polished stainless steel. Easily accessible double chevron packing is provided, plus a grease ring which can be readily changed to a water or oil seal for handling crystallizing liquids. Pump cylinders are furnished in steel unless otherwise specified. Various sizes and types of pump cylinders, as well as pistons, are interchangeable on standard pumps and are available from stock.
Standard pumps are furnished with a 1/4 H.P., 115 volt, 60 cycle ball bearing gearhead-motor with thermal overload protection as standard with a 30 r.p.m. or 60 r.p.m. output. Pumps are mounted on a heavy steel baseplate. Special electrical characteristics for gear motors are available upon request. The pumps can also be furnished with multiple heads.
Metering Pumps (Diaphragm Types)
These pumps are adjustable proportioning units designed for metering abrasive or corrosive liquids. The liquid metering end of the pump is completely sealed off by a diaphragm that is actuated by mechanical or hydraulic pressure on the diaphragm thus achieving an extremely accurate metering operation as well as extending diaphragm life.
Construction
The metering end of the pump is furnished in Polyethylene or PVC. When specified, a variety of stainless steel or most any other rigid material can be furnished. Metering adjustment (from 0 to maximum capacity) is simple and quickly accomplished without shut down. The attention and maintenance required on the Pump is extremely low due to minimum wear achieved by special design principles.
The pumps can be quickly and easily installed by making a few simple plumbing and electrical connections.
